why is that...even after installing the driver, upon rebooting the system, it asks again...anyway to stop it from happening all the time?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your Unity Connection Manager software on your edit client.

nope, these are all new installs of 5.0.1, from file manager to all clients...still does it. on every system...as a matter of fact, I just did an install this morning on anotehre system...same thing...anything else?
Hey Joe
Uninstall both Connection Manager and your Atto drivers (FC I assume). Reboot.
Install Atto drivers and utility. Make sure you set it to default. Reboot.
Install Connection Manager. If this does not work, make sure the client is connected to a client (vs server/storage port) on your FC switch. You may want to check your FC switch config.

If the ATTO Config Tool is run and the correct settings, firmware, drives are in place, you should not get the Avid Fake Comm disk everytime you reboot.

hey Dom, by default, do you mean install Unity to the d drive?
well, unfortunately, uninstalling everything, and re-installing everything in it's default place doesn't stop it either. i'll try more reboots to see if it is consistent, or if it just stops like before...
Try flashing the firmware?
