I am having problems moving media from one drive to another.  I don't know what is causing the issue because it doesn't happen all the time, but I will consolodate media from one drive to another and everything will be fine, then the AVID will do a scan of the drive and determine the consolodated media is now not recognizable as a media file and I have to either ignore or quarantine the file.  What would cause the omf file to all of a sudden become unrecognizable to the system when I've done nothing to it?

 Look at the contents of your OMFI MediaFiles folder. I'm wondering if the ".omf" suffix might be missing from the files in question. In the case of MXF Media, the suffix would be ".mxf".

No, the suffix is there.  So far as I can tell, there is nothing missing or wrong with the file.  It is primarily the video portion of the omf, the audio is almost always fine.

What happens if you choose 'ignore'? Do you actually have any missing media? We sometimes get this error (we're using non-avid shared storage) but if we 'ignore' no media is actually offline and the next time we start up the error message doesn't appear.

but I was consolidating an old project that I started in xpress dv and I couldn't consolidate in mc- it was all the dissolves and audio dissolves that was rendered......

I deleted all the renders (lost a few imported stuff) and then after re-importing some stuff I could consolidate.....

Have you checked the resolutions between the two systems to make sure the resolution you worked in within DV Express is present in Composer?

I was in panic.... didn't check anytning...... just wanted it to work...... And it does :)
