    Tape deck connection

I am using Xpress Pro HD. For some reason my PC does not sense that a deck is connected. I have 2 PC's both running Xpress Pro HD and the problem is the same on both no matter which firewire ports I use.

    Re: Tape deck connection

Have you gone into your deck configuration user settings and defined a channel and related machine template for your deck?

    Re: Tape deck connection

    Have you tried

XPro's DLLs that are necessary to interface with devices have moved. You should do a search on your drive for dvbuffers.ax.

This file should be installed in only one location:
    \Program Files\Common Files\Avid

If you see this file in other locations, there may have been problems during the uninistall, or you forgot to uninstall first.

If you see that file in the proper location the next thing to try is manually registering the filter. To do this follow these steps:
    1. Right click on dvbuffers.ax
    2. Choose Open With...
    3. Browse to \Windows\System32
    4. Select Regsvr32.exe
