    About "temp" folder

I was working normaly on my avid and all of a sudden a blue screen appeard with this message:

    BAD_POOL_HEADER

"If  problems continue remove any new hardware or software, disable BIOS memory options as

caching or shadowing, if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components restart

your computer, press F8 to select advance startup options and then select safe mode, technical

    information:

    ***STOP: 0X00000019 (0X00000020, 0XEI8B25D8, 0XEI8B27C0, 0X0C3D0230)

Begining dump of physical memory, physical memory dump complete."

After that message there was an option for "more information", i click it and then the next

    message appeared:

    "ERROR SIGNATURE

    BC Code: 19 BCP1:00000020   BCP2:E18B25D8    BCP3:E18B27C0   BCP4:0C3D0230

    OS Ver:5_1_2600   SP:2_0 Product 256-1

The following files will be included in this error report.

    C:\DOCUME~1\USER~1\LOCALS\Temp\Wer4e6f.dir00\Mini052408-01.dmp

    C:\DOCUME~1\USER~1LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4e6f.dir00\sysdata.xml"

So after all of that technical information am guessing there is something wrong with the "Temp"

folder that is located in this directory C:\Program files\Avid\AvidXpressDV\Temp.

In my old Avid manual mentions the next(page 3-25)

"To improve efficiency or to avoid DISK_FULL errors when exporting, you can type in a diferent

directory for these temporary files. The ideal setting for this field is to type in a directory ON THE

DRIVE to which you are exporting, or symply one with plenty of free space."

Besides the C drive i have other 2 harddrives but none of them have "Temp" folders, so my

question is if that is the origin of this problem, Do i need to create "Temp" folders in the other 2

    harddrives?.

After i restart the computer i got this message:

"Windows has recovered from a verry serious error, be sure to unpluged any new hardware"

Months ago this happened and unpluged a keyboard, and the problem dissapeard, but this time

it was only a camcorder that i have use for years, am not sure the camcorder was the origin of the

    problem.

I have the impression that my windows can suffer a catastrophic crash at any moment, i have

made backups of my material so am ready for it.

Am working with DV 3.5.  Any comments?

    Thanks.
