I'll post this around but my basic problem is I have a lanshare post facility on interplay that pulls from a unity system on media manager (news) that also sends to airspeeds for news playout. All well and good, but we play our programming (non news) out through grass valley profiles (and K2) controlled by a harris automation system. At present the only way to send spots from post to the grass/harris system is to dump it to tape then dig into the automation system. So i want a "send to" solution from avid to harris....anyone doing anything like this? Curious minds want to know Cheers gregg G

 My engineer tells me that if you capture to Avid Agility, you can then flip the file for FTP through an intra-net to your Harris automation system, IF  the Harris will recognize an Avid formatted file.

Agility is an ANYSTREAM product, not an Avid one.

 

Telestream can also do this via a Flip Factory,  using quicktime references as sources,  which makes for a nice easy send to file.   Hits the drop, Flip grabs it, collects the media referenced, and turns it into the file you need.
