My home machine is on a 2.6ghz AMD Athlon chip. Ive looked at the system specs for 5.8 on the website, and theres no mention of AMD chipset.

Is this because it just wont run on a non pentium and I need to upgrade my machine. When did this change as my machine runs an older express 4 perfectly happily.

Im quite keen to get HDV running as i just got a new camera.

Hi Peter,

An AMD machine might be able to run v5.8, but Avid hasn't qualified any, so the only way to know if it'll work is a) someone on the forum posting about their experience, or b) trying it out to see for yourself.
