We are competing in a 48 Hour film festival in New Zealand. Shot everything on HDV on green screen. Captured the media and when we play back the footage we get a "DecompStream Getstreaming Long GOP error" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is this, is it fixable??? ANY HELP will do!!!
try converting to DNxHD first

Thank you for the reply. We end up digitizing on a uncompressed format that worked great as our final product went out SD. Can we digitize direct from the component of an HDV into the SDI mojo creating DNxHD?
Cheers

No. Mojo SDI is SD only.
you would capture via firewire to HDV and then select the clips and transcode them to DNxHD in order to output them via HD-SDI.
not "really" what you want to do in a 48hour film contest. i think your workaround (and your delivery format) was the best solution in your situation.
Happy Editing!
Thanx mate. Have been wondering about that one for a while now. Amazing how Avid sells us a HD system with a SD only BOB. Should've done more homework, or waited for the new Mojo due release next month hey!
My thoughts on HDV, it is'nt and should'nt be a proffesional format, very unstable in it's technology. Really thought we have an edit system that can atleast handle HDV and SD. So transcoding is the answer. Maybe we should've opted for a Zean card (same price as a SDI mojo) and software to go with it. There's about 10+ incl Adobe. FC etc.
Cheers for thefeedback
