    Mojo DX with Laptops

I just checked out the Qualified PC updated since the announcement of DX line at NAB.  I noticed that laptops - such as the HP 8510w & 8710w series, are spported but require a docking station for the PCI-E card to work.  Well, sot of takes the mobility out of itSad but that's OK with me.  How big is the Mojo DX anyway?  Just curious?

So theDocking stations refered to in the PFD.  I've looked at HP docking stations andthe're all lame port expander type things.  I am not seeing any external PCI-E expansion in them.  Is the docking station something  Avid will offer?  Never seen them go that route before.  Is there another PCI-E exppanding dock that I have yet to find?

Just curious but for those of us road warriors that are looking at coughing up money for the DX Mojo upgrade I would like to learn more.

    ThxBig Smile

    Re: Mojo DX with Laptops

i think the new Mojo is a 2U rack unit.  It all depends on your idea of mobility.  If you are bringing a mojo on the road you're probably bringing client monitor and deck which isn't too mobile but it's much more mobile then bringing a full rack of gear with you.
