We just got a ton of H.264 material that needs to be imported in to the DS 7.6. We upgraded the Quicktime component (I know this is not a qualified) to 7.4.5 from 6.

We can now view H.264 files and the option to export from the DS is there but we get an error when trying to import the files.

"One or more errors were dectected while importing "xxx.mov". Any media captured will be kept."

Is importing H.264 on the DS possible?

Well, problem is, there was no h.264 codec when 7.6 was released so it's possible that  that version of the software has  no idea  what  to do with the codec.

7.4.5 is not even qualified  for the most recent version of Avid software, let alone the old  ones.

 If you have access to QuickTime Pro, load and convert the files to a Codec that DS can support, or even another format.
