    Avid install problem

     I have installed Avid Xpress Pro HD on my dual quad xeon processor PC, with 4 gb ram Nvidia quadro fx 1500 video card. The problem is when I launch the application midway through the loading process an error window comes up saying "Exception_ADM_DSOUND_MIXER_OPEN_ERROR".  and Avid closes itself. Any suggestions on what I should do?

    In all that, you never told us what version of the software you are installing. Also, what is your sound card?

     The version is 5.5.3 and no sound card just the integrated one on the motherboard. The motherboard is a Supermicro. I'm not sure of the model # though.
