Hi Brian,
Avid projects can be used on different systems if the media was captured in a resolution that both systems have available. What resolution did you capture in MC? What error message do you get when you try to use the media on Xpress Pro?
good luck,Carl
Does that happen when you open the file or the project? Safest bet would be to create a new project on the older revision, then open your bins from there.
Opening the media directly won't work. Opening the .avp project file or a .avb bin from within Xpress Pro should work an then the media will either appear or can be relinked. There aren't any compatibility issues between versions on Avid projects like there are with FCP so if it opens on one Avid it should open on another, albeit with restrictions based on the features of the particular version(s). How'd you copy the files? Which files did you copy? Where'd you put 'em? Do these files open OK on the original system? Was the project closed when you copied it?
Did you also copy the project file from the Media Composer machine to the Xpress Pro machine?
