Embarrassed [:$] A media composer project being cut on Mac and PC sharing media with UNITY

The tech support I have getting our to go package ready for location says that we might and will have problems with having a PC and a Mac platform both accessing media from the UNITY.  The editor I am working for says he has never had problems with this configuration. We are cutting using Adrenaline and I am not sure of what version of any software we are using...does anyone have a heads up on what might be a problem?  Thanks, Teri

You shouldn't have problems with the actual media. If the Mac is is using Sound Designer II audio files the Pc won't read them but you should have a choice between Sound Designer II and AIFF-C and Wave so that should be ok.

Any titles used would have to be recreated if you moved a sequence between systems and you should check fonts as they might not the be them exactly same. You'll be asked to use a substitute if it's not on the other system.

What did the support guys say exaclty was the problem ?

xw8200 Avid Adrenaline version 2.7 , xw8000 Symphony 5.5.7 , Symphony Nitris dual boot DS versions 1.7.7 & 8.4 Lanshare Lp 4.2.3 , ISIS 1.4 [view my complete system specs]
