Is there away to out put a quicktime file with an mpeg2 compression, using a mac?
Hi,
No. The easiest way is to export a Quicktime reference movie and use a third party encoder (Squeeze or Procoder) on the same system to encode it to MPEG2.
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
Can't output a ref, I footage is HD.
Then output a full QT movie.
What compressor, if any would you use on the QT output. The footage is DVCpro HD 720p 24fps. Would out put with no compression and set the size to 1920/1080? our put the DVCpro comression on it?
What's the MPEG2 going to be used for? DVD? Broadcast? Something else?
Put it out in the same format that it's currently in to avoid any more transcoding than necessary. In your case that would appear to be 720p/24 DVCPro HD.
