    Media Composer multithreading

I just upgraded both my workstation and my system to Media Composer from XPress Pro 5.5. I understand that Media Composer takes advantage of the Core 2 Duo processor -- is there anything I need to do to 'set that up'? So far I'm underwhelmed with the improvement in rendering time.

Hope I've got everything there in the system specs below!

I don't believe that  there is much true multithreading until 3.0 comes out.

     ....Meaning ? Will MC 3.0 be a FULL multi-threading application ?

Upgraded to Media Composer from Avid Xpress Pro and now at MC 3.0.5, but had to roll back to 3.0.0. Also added Avid Studio Toolkit 5.7 running on.....HP... [view my complete system specs]

The thing is don't peak too early in life. Currently at MC 3.0
