    transcoding hd to dv

    Here's a weird one:

When I transcode dnx hd 185 x progressive material (shot on HD CAM SR at 60fps) to DV 25 in a 25i project it makes an interlaced clip with 2 different fields for each frame!!!

How can that be?  And more importantly, can I stop it doing that?

You can't.  NTSC is an interlaced format.  Downconverting to SD will always give you an interlaced result.
