Hi,
We are running an Interplay version 1.2.1. along with ISIS version 1.4 and MCA 2.8.1
We have been live with two clients for a while and we are a few weeks from having 30 clients on our system.
We have set up a central ingest system where we create all avid projects centrally so that we set the append projects correctly in the interplay tree. It's all working great apart from the fact the the ' Interplay ROOT Folder for this project' setting is inconsistantly changing to it's default site setting. This is set to the productions projects tree which is one folder up from where individual productions have their read write access rights set.
It's resulting in production getting the error message:
Error saving to composition asset manager. Checking file into root node of the asset manager is not allowed.
I understand why I'm getting the error message. What we can't figure is why the Interplay ROOT Folder for this project settings are inconsistantly changing.
I really need this to work as we have production accessing our system and need to make sure they don't see the craft and other productions projects tree.
Can anyone offer any advice on this? Thanks in advance.. Julian
We had our Interplay Folder Site site settings set for a level above where production had read write access rights which is why we were getting the error message ( they were unable to save to their folder path). For some reason it's looks as though having this site setting set at this level was affecting it's ability to stick. We've now removed this site setting and for the first day have not had any projects departing from their set path. Deep Joy Indeed!!
You've probably sorted this by now but that message usually means that you have not set the Interplay path for the Avid project at all. Some messages are not clear and helpful. If you quit the editor and launch again and make a new project, this is not set, unless you put a previous IP Folder setting into the site settings.
