Having problems opening a video-only sequence within a Symphony Nitris 1.8.1, within a 1080p25 project -the sequence came from a SD 25i project created on a Meridien Symphony. I tried two routes - one was to decompose within 25i project, the other was to decompose within new 1080p25 project.
In both instances I modified the sequence format to 1080p25, and in both instances, even with the one where the now 1080p25 sequence was decomposed within the 1080p25 project, I get the following message:
This sequence has the following unsupported feature and cannot be loaded: interlaced clips within a progressive project.
Next thing I'll try is to export sequence as AAF and bring it back in to see if that rids it of thinking it's got interlaced clips, but any other solutions welcome. I also exported the clips as an ALE and brought them back in hoping that might sort it, but don't want to digitise and then find sequence won't relink to clips.
Thanks
Woohoo! Export as AAF and reimport sorted it, should have done this before posting, but might be useful should anyone else experience same thing, or mods can delete.
When this has happened to me I found either decomposing on the offline system, or else in online decomposing, then decomposing the decomposed sequence a second time, has resolved the problem.
Cheers,
Lorne Wright
This bug was introduced in x.7.2. The easiest work around is to open sequence in Media Composer 2.7.1 and modify it. In 3.0 the 720p projects are combined with the 1080 and SD projects with like frame rates so there won’t be a need to modify a sequence, the format tab can just be switched.
