If the picture contains a lot of green, usually outside with trees, grass and sunshine, the Avid rejects it with a video over run error. I have already tried a replacement Mojo and that didn't solve the error. My next attempt might be to dedicate one hard drive (format it first) and digitize to that particular drive. Has anyone else heard of this or know of any solutions? The tapes are on SX and BSP. Thanks.
Erik:
You have not yet listed your system specs, so I'm wondering if you have a qualified graphics card and/or enough RAM. Is this a new problem, have you been able to successfully capture before?

I have only been with the company for a month, but from fellow employees they have said that this is a recurring problem.
Mac Specs: OSX 10.4.8, Dual 1.8Ghz PowerPC, 3GB DDR SDRAM, GeForce FX 5200 64mb, Avid Xpress Pro v.5.6.4
It seems all the media is stored on individual 5 external hard drives connected through firewire. We only capture DV, but I'm going to ask for a more stable RAID solution. Any recommendations?
It's got nothing to do with the color of the image. First off, it shouldn't work at all with that graphics card if it's only got 64 MB of VRAM. Second, you're not supposed to have more than 14 feet of cable on your Firewire drives. If you have 3 foot cables daisy chained through 5 drives you're on the ragged edge (don't forget internal wiring in the drives counts too). First thing is to try capturing to the internal drive as a test. If you can minimize the external drive count or use more ports to minimize the cable length you might be able to obtain better results.
