Hi
I'm working on Avid 5.5.3 with no problems for a year
system specs:
dell precision 390
2GB ram
Nvidia FX550
Had no problems capturing so far.
Today I got this message : Error: DIOProducer - I/O missed starting timecode while capturing.
I can capture without TC but I need it. I'v tried everything - changed setting of deck, audio streams, captured with different decks but when I start capturing the capture tool writes: prerolling, arming, and then it's aborted.
I can't understand what's the problem it worked well till now.
please help

Are you working with a MOJO? If so, did you try to delete the flamethrower.sys driver?
Also, have you trashed out your MCstate, Site Settings, and Site Attributes?
If you do have a mojo and you have to delete the flamethrower.sys driver, its pretty easy.
right click my computer, go to manage, go to device manager, go to sound, video and game controllers, go to avid technology mojo.
CLick the driver tab, hit uninstall.
Power off mojo, power back on. Let XP's plug and play take over and it will install a new driver automatically. Just follow the on screen prompts and click yes.
If you dont have a mojo, did you try and reinstall the drivers for your FW card?
For the MC state, site settings, and attributes, go to my computer, program files, avid, xpress pro, settings, trash out these three files. Dont worry, avid will recreate them.
As always, do not be in the application when doing any of this.
