ID a dongle? (another silly dongle question)

Is there a way to identify a dongle by using the ID numbers on the tag? Someone is selling a mojo with some cables and there is a dongle included in the batch, but he doesn't know which software it belongs to. Cheers, -J

You will need Dongle Dumper. It is a small standalone application included in the software installation.

It will show you your complete licensing info. You can ask some one with an Avid to email it to you or to do it for you.

Jesse, If you email me the Dongle number and system ID, I can get that info for you. It may take a little while as most of Avid is @ NAB this week.

I would take Blkdog's offer. Usually when you buy a dongled product it is good to contact the company about the actual license and the history of dongle. This prevents future problems regarding assurance, upgrades and etc.

If you just need a quick dongle check for now using Dongle Dumper. But that should not prevent you from checking with Avid about the dongle. This is very important when you buy dongled products.

The dongle probably belongs to an Xpress Pro editng software, (or maybe Media Composer). Mojo is frequently the Xpress Pro "companion". Yes send the infos to Blkdog, and he'll give you all the infos you need.
