I bought XDV 4.6 some time ago as a download, so didn't get any of the third-party software like Sorenson Squeeze or anything. I don't do many DVDs and for most of my stuff have gotten through with InterVideo or my consumer DVD recorder.
I have a client who needs a DVD for an anamorphic projector. Project is SD, was brought into Avid squeezed and cut with the windows flipped to 16x9. I need to figure out how to ouptut a quicktime and flag it as 16x9 in the encoding software, then author it to DVD.
I am considering downloading Sonic DVDit 6, seeing as it's very reasonable. I own Roxio Easy Media Creator so could get the upgrade price. - http://www.roxio.com/enu/upgrade_center/dvdit/default.html My only hesitation is that I never got past interlacing issues with Easy Media Creator so I'm hoping to hear that somebody uses this workflow and it works
questions
1. Can I go from XDV straight to DVDit 6 without Sorenson Squeeze in between?
2. What are the export settings to use from XDV?
3. Can I flag video as 16x9 in DVDit? Just the standard one, not the HD version.
4. Can I create an auto-start DVD in DVDit 6?
Thanks so much!!! Any suggestions are welcome.
