Can Premiere and MC live nicely together on the same system?

I just took delivery of CS3 Production Premium (all 20 some pounds of it!) and plan to install Premiere just in case I need it for anything... but not if this will cause any conflicts with MC. Anyone?

I have CS3 production suite (including Premiere) installed on my MCA.  No issues.

The box felt more like 30 pounds to me.  I was quite pleased with that - I paid for at least 30 pounds of stuff.

Re: Can Premiere and MC live nicely together on the same system?

At my last job we ran a Media Composer and Xpress Pro system with the entire Adobe production suite installed--no conflicts.

At my current job I'm running Xpress Pro with a hodge-podge of different Adobe products, all different versions.  No conflicts.

    Install with confidence!

I felt the same way. There is more perceived value in poundage.

Can you take advantage of the CS3 $500.00 rebate from Adobe. If you own Avid Xpress Pro, DV,Liquid or Studio your entitled to the rebate. It takes about a month from when you send in the Rebate Form. Good untill May 31, 2008

I've got the Adobe suite on my MCA and I don't know of any issue.  I will say there has been content that I've received in formats that Avid won't work with.  Using Premiere and some of the other software, I've been able to get this stuff into Avid.

For my workflow, I'm very happy to have both of them playing nice.

That must be a new rebate. I was going to use the one that expired March 31 but my order was delayed by Visa so I had to re-order and by that time it was April 2. However when I explained my problem to the Adobe salesperson, he just took $500 off the purchase with no more questions... which was a whole lot better than paying full price and waiting/hoping for the rebate check to arrive weeks later!
