We want to use assist and access in another vlan (house network).
We openened the following ports between the vlans following documentation:
Filled in the primary and secondary sysdir ipadresses under remote hosts.
I can see the sysdir and can fill in a username and password.
Problem is with every username the client says " Could not authenticate user "[username]" on system director. "SYSDIR"
When i open all ports between the vlans it works. Does anyone know which port is missing in de documentation?
Thanks.
If you're using Interplay Assist, there are a whole lot of other ports you'll need to open. Check out the following document on the Avid Knowledgebase:

You will also need to make sure that you can resolve the FQDN of your Assist client and primary Interplay Engine in both directions.

Thanks for the reply.
In the end I want to install Assist and Access.
But at the moment I am only installing the ISIS client manager so I don't need the Interplay ports yet.
In that case, can you ping your System Directors from your Zone 4 client? By IP Address or by hostname?
Both because I have put the hostnames in the hosts file.
What about in the opposite direction. Can you ping the Zone 4 client from the System Director?
Are you running DNS? Youre going to need it for Assist.
Assist will be my next concern. First I want the ISIS client to run. The problem is a port that has to be opened because when we allow all traffic the client works.
