I know this should be easy and has been posted before but i can't find the answer trawling through the posts.
And i just can't remember how to do it...
So - how do you make a sceen shot of the Avid interface on a PC. I want to grab pics of monitors and open dialogue boxes etc to demonstrate a workflow...
Much appreciated.
Print screen button on Keyboard. Paste into Photoshop. Save?
Print Screen button, above the insert button. Then just paste into Photoshop or Paint, and you can save as a jpg, tiff, etc.
I use that for instructions too. I also use it to print out info about work spaces etc.
I hate television. I hate it as much as I hate peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts.

See my attached screen-shot.If you need to write a text or highlight a piece, then things are easier if you invest a little money in a programme like "Snagit".

PS. The tutorial I did on my workflow from MC to Blu-Ray media was done using Snagit. You can check it out HERE

Thanks guys that makes perfect sense - only snag is the print screen button doesn't work on my PC. Any way to enable / disable this?
Ahh scrub that i figured it out! The print screen copies the image to the clipboard and you need to paste that into another application.
Many thanks all!
