    Multicam using sequences as source

I've been trying to find a way to use the multicam (group clips) to edit a music video. The footage is shot on greenscreen so I wanted to key them first for compositing purposes (so I can see what I'm doing). This, of course, changes my clips into a sequence and it seems that sequences are not groupable. If I do a mixdown, the key (rough and temporary) becomes part of the clip, which I don't want as the final keying and compositing are to be done in After Effects later.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, -J.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the problem but, when I do this, I add the Spectramatte effect to the group clip in the timeline. When I switch cameras, the Effect is applied to the new angle. IS that not what you want?

Thanks for this. It is certainly the simplest solution. The effect settings are different to key the 2 cameras (one was shot on its side and the colours are different) but I can work around this by creating a few new clips with a video mixdown.

    Cheers, -Jesse
