Problem Saving project file.. does it deal with windows permissions?

When I save the project file, I get a message half way through that it can't save it...

I should ad that I'm runing Avid 5.8 on a PC system. This just started about 2 days ago, prior to that, no problem.

Are you running XP Home or Pro?

XP Pro of course. This has never happened. I've been editing on Avid for several years now.

Mickey, there's no "of course" on this forum!

I would run checkdisk over the boot drive. You could have a corrupt or failing hard drive, or corrupt data on that drive. I'm assuming that you have no trouble opening any bins in your project.

You should also check the permissions settings for your project. There is a setup procedure in the knowledge base which may help you. Search for it.
