Well guys I guess it's just a matter of time before we all migrate over to the MC forums together.

Thanks Xpress Pro, it's been fun
And I just upgraded to MC Soft from XPro a couple of months back. [:'(]
The good news is, now I can afford another licence for the director to look and review dailies on a laptop.

Just a daft question ... if I upgrade will by xw8200 be up to it?

(or yes, to put it another way)
Thanks ... I guess I was being bone idle not looking!
So what will this mean for 720p25 support? Are they going to offer it on MC, and then I have to pay for an upgrade to MC so that I can get it?
And how come there is no announcement on the website about this pretty major development?
your link doesn;t even fit on the page so I can;t read it...therefore I have no idea what you are tlaking about but would like to read it...post a useable link, please
Useable Link
Michael.
All I can say is fantastic! I've been waiting for years to see some life at Avid.... Very exciting.
Thanks dude...while hopefully and extectedly better, I assume the MC interface and workflow is very similat to xpress pro?...I have had it since 3.0,,,,
The Media Composer interface is identical--you have more effects and more information available to you (Center Duration), plus keyframeable timewarps and more resolutions. Xpress Pro is literally Media Composer with features removed. Everything else is almost identical.
You gotta wonder why their newly vaunted Community didn't get a heads-up though, eh?
Um ... why do we hear about this from the Hollywood Reporter, and not in the Avid Press Room. I kinda thought I was gonna get an RSS Feed this morning.
