    Audio Card

    Ok, this is my problem:

I enter avid free dv and it tells me that there is no audio card. I'm running with realtek, is that a problem?

Another thing is that I am using vista, but the only problem I have is the Audio Card:(

    You're help is appreciated

    Hi,

Yes, it is.  If you search the forums for "realtek" you'll find a lot of posts about this.  Some people have gotten it to work by making a small change like getting different drivers or unplugging a webcam.  Most have just bought a Soundblaster Audigy 2 card and installed that.

Vista's not supported.  You may be able to run FreeDV in XP compatibility mode, but I don't know.

    good luck,
