    macbook not pro and Media Composer

    has anyone gotten Media Composer Software v2.7 to run on a macbook (not pro) ?
    2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gigs Ram, OSX 10.4.10.

    Please do a search here. This has been discussed often.

    Consensus is, you have to boot it holding down G+O and, therefore disabling 3D.

    After doing what Blkdog suggests, go to the Console and type in Disable3D and the software remembers.

    Hey Chris, one question...does G+O ONLY disable the 3D or does it put you in legacy overlay mode too?

    Seems to me, if the GFX chip isn't supported, the 3D wouldn't be the only problem.

    Todd,
    I would assume it does but my Noise Industry FX's are fine as are all the Avid FX's. That includes promoting a FX to 3D. I can also do full screen mode which would seem to mean I'm not in legacy overlay mode.

    Left my dongle at work so I can't test it right now, home with a sick six year old (say that 3 times fast).
