Test: Exporting separate clips EDL or AAF?

Is there a way that Avid can batch export a video format of separate clips within a sequence using an edl or aaf?

To be more specific, we currently export labeled scenes of a storyboard that contains both the visual and audio for that particular clip. These individual clips are then used by animators as a visual reference aswell as the audio for that scene/shot.  I've attached a pic aswell.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

You need to be a bit more descriptive....

Do you mean that you want to export individual frames of a moving shot as individual GFX files?

If so, look up "Export Pic Sequence" in the Help Menu.

Thanks I'll try to be a bit more discriptive :)

We would like to have avid automatically mark the in and out of each individual title slug in the sequence and export both a separate video and audio file that falls under that slugs duration.  Also, all the exported files would be named the same as the title slug eg SC01_SH01.  I thought something like an AAF or edl could extract this info and create separate clips.

What are you testing here? Is it working?

As far as your question, there is no functionality in the Avid to do this explicitly.

The best (I think) you can do is to use locators to mark the segments in your timeline then use the "Mark Locators" button to quickly create a bin full of Sub-Sequences that can then be exported to the destination of your choice.

    Anybody else got any ideas?
