Hello, I wonder if anyone can give me any advice or help regarding the problem below.
I'm using Avid Xpress DV version 4,8 on a Windows XP platform.
I have a 250Gb internal HDD and a 500Gb external HDD. I recently began having trouble shutting down the Avid with the external hard drive running. Also, the Avid system scans the drive: E OMF files each time I try to open it and I receive the following message:
'Exception 'omfiHPDomain_INT_FAILED' - 'The database file - msmMMOB.mdb' may be corrupted"
Does anyone know what this means and how to get my system working cleanly again?
Looking forward to some feedback
Thanks
David King
Yes, you need to rebuild the corrupted databases.
Quit the app, go into the OMFI MediaFiles folder(s) (and Avid MediaFiles folder if MXF media is present), sort by date bringing the most recent to the top and delete the two files that identify by type as "MSM Media Database". On re-launch, the system will detect the missing files and build new ones at the "Initializing Media Streams Manager" stage of the boot up. This should solve your problem.
