    Capture HDV footage

    Sorry to ask here. I searched the forum but couldn't find what I needed. I am new to using HDV footage and can't seem to capture. The Capture Tool controls my Canon HV20 camera fine, but no picture or sound comes into my system.

    I am working in a 30i NTSC project with other DV25 footage and want to downconvert my HDV footage into DV25. Can anyone help? I am I missing a setting?

    Are coming in Via FW? If so, you will need to capture your footage in the appropriate HDV project settings and THEN transcode the footage to DV 25 (assuming that your deck/cam does not do the downconvert for you).
