Sorry I posted with nothing in it.
I've recently got a macpro. and having trouble doing playouts. I get the attached error message. The playout stops, even if I disable stop on dropped frames.
I thought it was because I had 4 layers of video including global grade and resize; but I still get problems with a mixdown from either the internal or the external drives.
Do you think using a eSata connector will help?
Also I dont partition my 500gb drives- is this now becoming a problem? If so how do you do it?

Usually see this on a PC system.........  Do yoyu have a  separate FireWire/1394 card to properly segment the bus on your system?  Do you have a Mojo attached?  If so, the first step is to properly isolate the DNA hardware from any other data traffic by placing it on it's own PCI bus segment. You can do this by using the integrated FireWire/1394 port for your DNA in the proper slot for the Mojo to use.

Mojo is attached on the internal firewire , and drives using a second 800gb pci-e firewire card, so I'm still stuck

Just discovered my mistake- having 4,800 items in an omfi folder!!

When I cleared 800 out, playouts became trouble free
