"Avid Xpress HD is not compatable with (my current OS) Vista??"

You seem surprised.  It says that Avid only works with XP Pro on the specifications page.

"If so can I install xp home aswell"

No.. You have to install XP Pro.

    "if so HOW?"

    Dual-boot.

"How can i find out what graphics cars i have?"

    Ask the cars dealer.

Also, learning the basics of computers is something that you should look into.. just navigating your way around the computer is something that would really help you.  This is an Avid forum - not a computer operating forum.

Marco, with the best will in the world it's unlikely that anyone on this forum can directly help you.  What you really need to do is take a copy of the Avid specifications and your computer to a computer technician.  Tell him that you want to make your system match those requirements.  He may need to source replacement video, audio, and/or firewire cards.

Also ask him to set the computer up to dual boot into Vista and XP Pro (service pack 2) so that you can install Avid on the XP partition.  With the addtional software and possibly hardware you could be looking at up to £500-600 cost.
