With the help of janusz, we've compiled older QT versions for you guys. These installers are downloadable and will take you all the way back to MCA version 1.6. Please let me know if they become unavailable. Thanks again to janusz!

Larry, that link is for windows though..isn't it? I seem to remember using that site for my PCs.

The version I downloaded (7.1.3) definitely works on my PC, but there is nothing on the site itself or the download that identifys as either PC or Mac format...strange, but I thought it worth posting here to get the widest dissemination to all users.

Now that MC3 is out, Apple goes and ups quicktime to 7.5 before I can grab 7.4.5. If anyone has a direct link, please post.

Thanks for the links page Todd & Janusz. Problem tho: Every time I try to download the 7.4.5 for Tiger, it only does a partial download. Same problem from the Apple site directly...

10.4.5 for Leopard downloaded fine. Do you think it is safe to install that for MC3.01 on Tiger?

I tried the other links on this thread as well as many other QT download links. No success.

Anyone know of another mirror site?

Odd... I just tested it and the 7.4.5 Tiger download went just fine. Must have been a bigger issue.

How do I find out which version of Quicktime to run?

Just installing stuff onto a new MacBook Pro and updating the installed 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 prior to loading Media Composer 3.0

So of course I'm concerned to get the right QT version as well

You can check out the version matrix in the Knowledge base but that hasn't yet been updated for 3.x. So, the current supported version of QT is 7.4.5.
