Thought about updating from 6.5.3?

With 5.2.4 and 6.5.3 I would be using OMF not AAF.

With current versions of Avid and Protools AAF is the better option.

 Well I did try OMF and that does work.  Is there a free update for avid pro tools 6.53?

OMF is still a great way to go.  Worked flawlessly  for years

I use Protools HD 3 and after returning from Vacation I can nolonger open an aaf file.  Yes the "fill in" guy was on the system all week.

pt hd 3 7.4

Mac dual core intel.

I tried clearing the the  preferances etc etc, and It still will not launch from the desk top or when I open from within Pt's

zaped p ram and everthing else I can think of.  aaf will open in avid just not in Protools. 

help please.

I would recommend trying here  It is an Avid Audio forum for Protools.

8 or 9 years ago i could have helped with PT 3 HD but the memory cells have corrupted over the years
