    nvidia quadro 280 problem

    hello everybody

just bought HP xw6200 with 1 gig ram and nvidia quadro 280 and installed my dv express on it.

while capturing i had no picture on the composer window at all, but it did capture. then while playing a clip either on the composer or clip window i could see only still picture. stop playing would make the picture jump to the current frame. while draging the clip or seq cursor i cuold see it moving on the window.

    any sugestions anyone???

    Re: nvidia quadro 280 problem

    thanks

the other driver did work out

now there are different configuration for desktop and video output, so when i play the composer window the look of the picture changes. i tried to match the two configurations with not much success. the default values alreadt look different between desktop and video.

any way to disable this option so they look the same with no proccesing?

Can you describe further what you mean by "when I play the composer window, the look of the picture changes"?  Define what "changes" means...are you referring to the picture darkening upon playback?  If so, that's a Nvidia driver issue.  Which driver are you using?
HP xw8000, dual-3.06 ghz Xeon's; 2 GB of RAM; Nvidia QuadroFX 1100 AGP 8x Graphics Card; 1 - 160 GB 7200x IDE Hard Drive; 1 - 400 GB 7200x IDE Hard... [view my complete system specs]

I think my memory sucks, but I forget.

    Re: nvidia quadro 280 problem

i first used the 81.95 driver and than when picture in the composer would stay still and wuold jump to last frame upon stopping.

than i tried both 91.31 and 91.47 drivers and in both cases the when playing thee composer window the picture darkens or lightens depending on the ajustments i make in the nvidia setup.

the thing is because it has differnt setups for video and desktop with some of the parameters different i can't match them.  the default values don't mach. i wonder if there is any way to just disable them or unite them so desktop and video looks the same (when composer or clip window is not in playback it is using desktop setup and when i do playback it usues video setup )

    thanks
