    AMA linked files quality problem

I have a video file (Apple ProRes HQ) made in After Effects.

When I link it to Avid its quality becomes significantly lower, and I don't know why.

It has nothing to do with the Video Quality Menu of the timeline. It persists in all qualities and very apparent in the export.

There's no transcoding involved, just linking, shouldn't Avid keep the quality as it is?

I tried to change the AMA plug in to all available, to no avail.

What can I do to be able to export it properly???

What is the format/frame rate of your Avid project?

    1080p 25fps

The file is in the same format.

I would import the file vs AMA link just to see what Avid does with it. This might help you uncover what setting where is causing the issue. If you import and the quality is hit, then your project is doing some type of manipulation. If the quality is pristine, then we've got another issue.

Imported clip looks as bad as linked.

Is it something you could post a sample of so someone else could try it and see?

The upload here didn't work, so here're links to the files:

The original file, exported from After Effects:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/wgnnfwg3j0gh6oa/%20Original%20from%20AE.mov?dl=0

The export from Avid, after linking and exporting in the same parameters as the original (Apple ProRes HQ 1080p 25fps): https://www.dropbox.com/s/3u3m30ezddrzie5/From%20Avid.mov?dl=0

You'll probably won't be able to read it, but the quality issue is clear.

After looking at your files linked into a 25p project, I relinked to 50i on a hunch.  It appears to introduce identical artifacts.  It looks like you have introduced some sort of interlaced processing somewhere into your workflow.

The project is progressive, and so is the file, checked again just in case.

    Hmmm...

Linking to your footage and exporting, both SAS and transcoding to DNxHD, comes out fine over here.  (I'm on a PC running 2019.8)

Are you sure there is no interlaced or uprezed footage in your project?  SAS tends to run with the first thing it sees.  Or perhaps this is a mac-only issue.
