    Export workflow for web delivery....?

    Hello All!

I've found old articles about this but nothing current. I'm looking for a fast, and efficient way to export 86-90 minute movies in a quicktime wrapper for upload to sites like Frameio, PIX, and Media Silo. Currently I've been doing either a same as source quicktime export (with burn in) then compressing the file down in Adobe Media Encoder, or Mpeg Streamclip. I've also been doing direct to h.267 encoding through Avid but that takes a long time and the color is often much darker. Any tips or suggestions are welcome!!!

Best solution I've found so far is export as MXF Op1a (via Avid Media Processor) - see image

It will still take a while for a 90 min export and the file will be huge.

And then encode to some lightweight format for review using a 3rd party encoder.

    I second Kenton.

This is the most efficient method as it will render effects (Timecode Burn, etc) as it makes the file.  You have a resonable choice of output codecs and most 3rd part tools will accept MXF Op1a files these days.
