[EDIT] Seems to be solved in the timeline by choosing default setup.

    Hi,

I've just uninstalled 2018.12.5 and installed 2019.6 on my MAC PRO running 10.14.5, and created a new user.

I've spotted severe font issues on my HD 1920x1200 UI monitor (Eizo CS2420).

Timecode in particular in the timeline windows, also clip names/information (also in Composer). Other texts seem to be OK.

Is it a known issue? Is there any solution to modifiy font/font size?

     Thanks in advance!

I couldn't even transcode on 2018.12.5/10.14.5. Are you running nexis or local drives?

It may be pulling out a strange font. Mine started with OCR A, and I switched to Myriad Pro.

Select the Composer (or Timeline) window and then choose Window > Set Font and pick a new one.

    Great, Thanks!

Solved my problem, far more readable now. By the way I did not know that you could change font this way, I was looking in the user preferences only.

Re: 2019.6 UI Font issue [SOLVED]

    Hi Everyone:

I'm like most seasoned editors that never stop learning.  At some ponit, a feature was implemented to allow you to change fonts and font sizes for each Primary Media Composer Window (i.e, Composer Window, Timeline Window, Bin ContainerWindow). Thank you Avid!

The reason I am adding to this post is because, I've encountered an inssue upgrading from older versions of Avid Media Composer where the operating system(s) on MAC and PC didn't carry over the font settings from the previous settings.  It made the Timline names unreadable.

I'm not sure when this feature was added.  I'm running 2019.8

Make sure you select a Primary Window before navigating to the Windows menu to set the font/size.  I've included a link with screen shots on Adjusting Media Composer Font Sizes.

This is especially great for enlarging font sizes within the Composer Window and/or Timeline Window. These simple features  go a long way on improving efficiency.

    -John
