Moving last clip(s) on V1 deletes Markers on V2

Does anyone know why this is happening and if this is "normal" behaviour or a bug:
    http://www.brainsandpictures.com/upload/MC1809-MarkerMadness.mp4

I have some clips on V1 and a bunch of markers on a filler track V2.
When I move the last clip(s) on V1 the markers above the moved clips get deleted.
This happens even when V2 is locked!
This is a very weird behavour in my opinion that makes no sense at all and should be changed.
I'm running MC 2018.9 but also had a chance to try it on MC 8.4 which behaved the same way. So it's nothing new.

Re: Moving last clip(s) on V1 deletes Markers on V2

Just wanted to let you guys know that my support case got closed because according to Avid everything is working as intedend. They say that it is "by design" that markers get deleted when you move a clip on a track below... wow Confused
But when this behaviour is "by design" one might raise the question if maybe this design is flawed, because it doesn't make sense at all.

You should post in the feature request forum. I'd suggest giving the user the option to keep/merge or discard markers when editing or moving clips onto/into a space in the timeline with a marker in it.
