    Stuttering image after render

    Hi everyone,

I came across an issue while adding effect to my timeline. after rendering any effect the image stutter while playback. I work with Macbook pro high Sierra 10.13.6 and have the latest version of avid media composer. is there a render setting that is problematic and causes stuttering? I also see red coloured lines in timeline after rendering.

    I appreciate your help

After you playback and see the stuttering, are there any colored stripes in the timeline?  Thin yellow and / or red lines under the video layers?

If so, this is Avid telling you it is having trouble playing back the render.  Check the doc for more info as to what they mean in detail.

Also check to see what disk you're rendering to.

I am going to guess you have your renders set to a drive that is not fast enough or your renders are set to a codec that is not appropriate.

to the same disk as the media files

You need a reasonably fast drive for reliable DNx185x playback and a fast ennection USB3 or thunderbolt or direct SATA.

WHat is you media drive (and confirm the media is being rendered to that drive) and hows it connected.
