I have just shut dowm MC after a full day's work and my PC went into a BlueScreen and some kind on memory dump.
I have rebooted it but on opening MC it has lost my settings (boring but not too serious). When I open my projects however I get an error when I try to open the Sequence bin (without which im in trouble).
The error is 'file does not contain a valid domain header' There is also a problem with the project settings xml file too.
I have no idea what caused the BSD, but I guess avid was still writing to the HDD when it happened.
This has never happened to me before, I have a backup, but it was last night - I hope the Avid attic might be more recent, but I cant figure out how to recover the projects from there.
Helpful suggestions appreciated

Here are instructions for recovering a bin from the attic.

I think Im back in business - Thanks all. Now to back it all up!
The Attic isn't a backup. Its the bin before the last one saved so is one version out.
Dropbox and a USB stick for regular actual backups everytime for me. At least once a day if not twice.

Not a backup perhaps, but a life saver in this instance. I do backups onto a usb stick at the end of every session, but in this instance the attic was more up to date!
My worry now is trying to get to the bottom of what caused the BSD in the first place.
