hi all,
I'm working on Mac OS X Yosemite and Avid Media Composer 8.4.5 with a Matrox mx02 mini connected. Matrox is connected via HDMI. Third monitor is connected to Mac via HDMI.
Apple and MC know the matrox box is there (Apple sees three monitors / MC opens Matrox settings when opening Video Ouput > more)
Problem: How do I get video output on the third monitor as client monitor?
(I have tried varoius different settings, of course)
Any help much appreciated
Best karen
the latest systemversion for matrox is 10.9.x
so on, the driver does not work with yosemite and up
Hi Wolfgang,
thank you very much for yout answer!
Your answer made me think different ;-))
Here's my solution: Three monitors were connected to MAC.
In Media Composer I disabled Hardware and activated Full Screen Mode. In Full Screen Mode settings I could place Full Screen Display on third monitor!
this is a solution to get fullscreen
but its not a videolevel preview
@karenG:
1. There *is* an mxo2 Mini driver for Media Composer OS X 10.10.5. Click here:
http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/downloads/download/latest/
Make sure you check "Show legacy products."
2. Your displays should be connected this way:
Left Computer Display - directly to your Mac's video card
Right Computer Display - directly to your Mac's video card
Intended Client Monitor:
• Display to mxo2 Mini over HDMI
• mxo2 Mini to Matrox's Host card or Thunderbolt adapter
3. You'll know the client monitor's connected properly if you launch the Matrox System Preference and run the test patterns under Calibration.
Should be up and running!
