    ProTools First - input issue

I have downloaded ProTools First on my Windows laptop and I want to record a track.

    I open ProTools First then:

Track --> Create new track (Mono, Audio track)

Under Setup I cannot see any I/O configuration settings(?)

Under setup, when I click Playback Engine it shows:

    "Playback engine: Windows Audio Device

    Input Device: StereoMix(ReltkHghDfntnAd)

    Microphone Realtek High Definition Audio

Output Device: Speaker HP (Realtek High Definition Audio)"

First issue: why can't I see any I/O settings?

Second: I cannot select Microphone Realtek High Definition Audio as input device even if I click on it as the program would close and show StereoMix(ReltkHghDfntnAd) as the selected device again.

Also I cannot record when I enable recording and press <space bar>: there is clearly a track in time that is running but no sound is recorded; looks like the microphone on my laptop is not enabled?

Any suggestions? Thank you very much in advance!
