    Avid Partition Management - Storage

Does anyone know what is a recommended space for free space in each parition in the ISIS?

We have the Avid ISIS 5500. We're on a 22 episode series with a partition for each episode. And once we are done with the episode, we want to reduce the capacity as much as possible since we won't be adding more media to the parition, but we'll still be accessing the media. On average, we have 600 GB of media per episode. So How much free space should we let it have in order to keep it running efficiently?

Re: Avid Partition Management - Storage

I don't beleive there is a rule to free space on any one single partition. Having said that I try to leave at least a few GB free so the database has space to grow should it need too (eg. accidentally render effects/titles to said patition).

Total ISIS useage should not exceed 90%.
