    25p support

Hi there. I have Media Composer 8.10, but I needed a second system just to train someone on Media Composer and practice some technique before investing in another license.

So I realized that MC First would potentially be a great solution.

But I was shocked to discover that of all the frame rates included, the only maintstream one NOT there is 25p, even though it appears 30p is.

The annoying thing is that 25p is my standard frame rate shooting in the UK.

Am I correct in thinking projects in First won't be able to read 25p?  And if not why on earth is that the only one?  And are there plans to include in a future release?

I mean I guess you can't complain if it's free.  But it's like going to the supermarket when every item is in stock except the one you want...

    Thanks,

    Brad

Not check 8.10 but in 8.9.x I had 25P support. Will have to fire up laptop and check.

Its 50i support you don't get.

    Re: 25p support

25p is accepted as INPUT just as is 30p.  I came upon the dialog box. Please upload a bit of your 25p footage so I an confirm.

Anyone, please also upload dv25i50 and 1080i50 VERY BRIEF samples if you've got them.

They will all become 25p and 1080p25 AFTER DEINTERLACING which I cover in the manual. Need this because I have 12 hours of DV25 60i shot in Japan.

I was about to do a tiny revision and I'm happy to document the how to.
