Check in aaf media offline in interplay

I have checked in an aaf using the C++ code on this forum and it is working fine but for a single problem. The media plays back fine and can be loaded fine into Media Composer but Interplay gives me the red offline dot next to it. It doesnt have a headframe yet as that is a topic for another thread. Could the fact that there is no headframe cause the offline status? Again, the media plays back fine and can be brought in to Media Composer.

One thing I forgot, I am manually adding the mxf's to the Nexis drive's media files folder.

Re: Check in aaf media offline in interplay

    Hi,

Manual media files management is not recommended. Please use Interplay Access to update status from Media Indexer first. If media status is still "red" check Object Inspector pane to ensure that file locators are pointing the the existing files.

Asset headframe is kept separately from the media status and cannot be cause from the media offline status.

The reason for media offline is most likely due to AAF you have contains incorrect media locators in it.

    Thanks

Re: Check in aaf media offline in interplay

Im triying to automate this process so using interplay access is not a solution that will work for us. I am sure that the aaf file locators are most likely pointing to the wrong drive though. Will try that and see what happens. Is there an automated way to update the indexers? We are using a background process that moves the files to the appropriate drive but if there is a better way I am interested.

You'll need AMT api to move media correctly. Please contact partner programs dept to request it.
