Avid Media Composer and AMD Ryzen Processor

    hello Smile

iam new in this Forum. My english is not that good. Sorry. i hope you have any experience with my question.

i read a bit about cutting with Avid Software an the new Ryzen Processors from AMD. I would like to build a new system now for a Avid Media Composer suite 8.5. Normaly iam using a Intel i7. But i read that many have not made any experiences with AMD Ryzen. What do you think for example about a AMD Ryzen 1800x with Avid Media Compser 8.5. Software. Is it slowing down because of 8 cores and AMD Hardware ? And does Avid Software like more the Intel 4 Core with 4,6 GHz for example ? because of just 4 cores and 4,6 GHZ for example ?

i want to build a AMD 1800x with the Nvidia Geforce 1080 GTX 8 GB and M2 SSD. But iam afraid that is slowing down because i heard Avid like more the Intel processors. Confused

Thanks a lot  !! for any idears or experience

As a rule, higher clock speeds benefits editing and rendering processes. I am running the previous gen AMD CPU without problems. In a mission critical environment, however, a workstation qualified by Avid insures official support.
