Avid FX much less stable than before

No exactly sure in what version it started to become unstable but probably around 8.9.  Im always on the current version

If I have 2 layers and apply avid fx on layer 2 with scale multiply everything will work fine at first.  Ill render and move on.

But later, If I change whatever is on layer 1 under the clip on layer 2 which has avid fx.  If I trim the lower clip, swap it with something else. etc.  Avid will most likely crash.

Yes there are work arounds, live removing avid fx from the top layer etc, but its a pain.  Hopeing the bug can be fixed.  Thank You
